// Careers

Curious builders wanted.

We're a small team in Ho Chi Minh City shipping automation, firmware, and web apps for clients in 8 countries - plus products of our own. If you want your code in production instead of a sandbox, this is the place.

Why join Curiopal

// Why here
  • Work that ships

    Client projects with real users and real stakes - the same work that earned the studio Top Rated Plus and a 100% job-success record on Upwork.

  • The whole lifecycle

    We build our own products too, like Little Buddy and Split Bills, so you see requirements, build, deploy, and maintain - not just tickets.

  • Small team, senior hands

    No layers between you and experienced engineers. You get direct mentorship and your questions get answered by the people who built the system.

Software Engineering Intern (Full-stack / Automation)

Ho Chi Minh City (hybrid/remote flexible)Internship - full-time or part-time, 3 to 6 months, potential to extend
Apply now →

We build automation workflows, web applications, and backend processing systems for real-world business clients. As an intern, you'll work directly with the lead developer on production projects, not toy assignments. You'll write code that ships, integrate third-party APIs, and learn how small, efficient engineering teams deliver for clients.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain backend services with Node.js (REST APIs, background jobs, data processing)
  • Develop web application features using React.js and Tailwind CSS
  • Work with relational databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL): schema design, queries, migrations
  • Integrate third-party APIs (e-commerce platforms, shipping carriers, Google Workspace, etc.)
  • Debug, test, and document your work; participate in code reviews

Must-have

  • Solid fundamentals in JavaScript
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs (how to consume and build them)
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts
  • Comfortable using Git and reading technical documentation in English
  • Self-driven, able to research problems independently before asking, and communicate clearly about blockers

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Node.js frameworks (Express, NestJS) or React projects (personal or coursework)
  • Exposure to Tailwind CSS or other utility-first CSS
  • Experience with Google Apps Script or workflow automation tools
  • Understanding of authentication (JWT, OAuth), webhooks, or cron jobs
  • Basic Linux/server knowledge (SSH, PM2, deployment)

What you'll get

  • Direct mentorship from an experienced developer (Top Rated Plus on Upwork)
  • Hands-on experience with production systems and real client projects
  • Exposure to the full development cycle: requirements, build, deploy, maintain
  • Flexible working arrangement and monthly internship allowance (negotiable based on skill level)
  • Strong candidates may be offered a longer-term paid position
